Jessica & Tim

Glymur is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland with its height of 198 meters. Getting to the top of it is not easy, but the hike is absolutely beatiful. I was over the moon when Jess & Tim told me about their plan to elope here and celebrate with a toast of a whiskey at the top.

The weather was rather complicated on a wedding day with a lot of rain and strong with. On a very last minute we have decided to change a ceremony place to a þórufoss. While Jessica and Tim were reading their vows, the rain became so strong I could see anything in my camera. It never failed and holded my back this time again.

Working with the priest Tryggvi Gunnarsson from the humanist organisation and our fellow photographers Styrmir Kári & Heiðdís has been great and beautiful as always.

Finally, we got to Glymur. The wind continued to be really strong. When I was shooting the opening scene with my drone, my hands were shaking. I was not afraid of loosing the drone, but loosing this beautiful shot.

All footage captured during the wedding day and the voicevoer is Tryggvi Gunnarsson's speach from the actual ceremony.
